MEMBERSHIP
Membership of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland is available to any person - parent, teacher, adult with dyslexia, member of the public -
who wishes to support our work.
Membership is compulsory for participation at a DAI Workshop or Summer School, or for attendance with a tutor whose name has been supplied by the association.
Tutors who are listed with the association must also be members. All members of local and national committees must be full members.
Full members receive membership cards with a new number for each year. Members receive individual mailings of three to four newsletters per year and are entitled to vote at
annual general meetings. Members are entitled to serve on branch and national executive committees. Members may be entitled to reduced entrance fees for attending talks and
conferences, and they pay a smaller fee for psycho-educational assessment.
The annual fee is currently €40 euro for individual or family membership (only one membership is needed per family), and is due for renewal annually.

Why Membership Is Important
By being a member of DAI you are part of a nationwide organisation currently representing over 2,500 families and 39 branches.
The money you give provides someone at the end of a phone to answer a query from a worried parent, advice for a teacher on availability of courses,
a visit from a member of DAI to help a group set up a new branch and workshop. You may have needed this help in the past.
You may need it again in the future. Your membership fee helps to ensure that the association will be there when you, and others, need it.
Members Newsletters
Current members of DAI are sent newsletters approximately 3 times each year to keep them informed and up-to-date
on the work of DAI as well as any dyslexia related news.
Recent newsletters can be downloaded in from the News Archive section.
