Drogheda Branch
The Drogheda Branch of the Dyslexia Association was established in the early 1990s by parents of children with Dyslexia. Our branch is
affiliated to the Dyslexia Association of Ireland and our members are required to be members of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland.
The branch is run by a voluntary committee consisting for the most part of parents of children attending our Workshop. Our contact

Our Workshop provides specialised classes for children from the age of seven up to Leaving Certificate. At present we have a total of
56 students attending classes. The Workshop is held every Wednesday evening from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in St. Olivers Community College,
Rathmullen Road, Drogheda. In addition to the weekly Workshop we also run a Summer School in July, which is open to children with specific learning
difficulties (dyslexia) throughout the North East area. This has proven to be a very successful venture and allows the children to take part in activities
that are not part of the core curriculum in school.
We currently have a waiting list for children wishing to enrol. All Children wishing to enrol must have a full psychological assessment
that can be made available to the Branch Co-Ordinator.
Our teachers at the workshop are all fully qualified, specially trained and dedicated people. Our aim is to provide specialised classes
for children with dyslexia and to also provide support and information for their parents and families.
