Carlow Branch
The Carlow Branch of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland runs a weekly workshop in Tullow Community School,
Tullow, Co. Carlow. This takes place on Wednesdays from 5pm to 7pm during school term. There are two workshops,
one for students up to sixth class and one for students up to Junior Cert.
All children wishing to enrol must have a psychological assessment diagnosing their type and degree of dyslexia,
a copy of which must be given to the Workshop Co-Ordinator in order that your child can get the most appropriate help
possible from the Workshop. The Workshop Co-Ordinator is Sr. Thomasina and her evening number is 059 9151308 or 086 3267166.
The current Branch contact person for further information on our Branch or to enrol your child is Helen Walsh
at 059 9144468.
Our teachers are fully qualified, specially trained and dedicated people. Our aim is to provide fun learning
classes for children with dyslexia. The parents committee run the Workshops with Sr. Thomasina. We also provide support
and information for their families at our monthly meetings. These are held on the first Tuesday of every month from
September to April at the Tullow Resource Centre, Church St., Tullow at 8.30pm.
