Please note that due to low numbers the Athlone Workshop is currently ‘on pause’ pending increased interest.  For parents who have already signed up please contact Mary Scully, Branch Finance Administrator on (083) 876 3241 or to discuss any queries you may have. We hope to recommence the Workshop in January 2018 and will be working hard in the meantime to publicise and increase awareness of the Workshop.

The  Dyslexia Association of Ireland runs a Workshop on Monday afternoons from 4.30pm to 6.30pm in St. Mary’s National School, Athlone.

The workshop is for children and young people who have been assessed as having dyslexia. The aim of the workshop is to offer specialised tuition for students and also to provide support and information for parents and families. All tutors in at the workshop are fully qualified teachers who have had special training in helping students with dyslexia.

For more information please contact the Workshop Coordinator for the Athlone Branch:

Damien McIntyre,, 086 877 3192

Please be aware that the Workshop runs during a portion of the school year only – approximately from September to December and January to April/May.  Outside of these periods you may not be able to speak directly with the Coordinator or members of the parents’ committee.  Please leave a voicemail or email and you will be contacted at the first opportunity.
