Monaghan

The Monaghan Branch of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland was established by parents of children with Dyslexia. The branch is affiliated to DAI and Branch members are required to be up-to-date DAI members.

The Monaghan Branch is run by a voluntary committee consisting of parents of children attending the Workshop, in partnership with the workshop teaching staff.

The contact person for the Branch is:
Caroline McCarey    Tel.: 047 84715.

The weekly after school workshop is held on Tuesday evenings in St. Mary’s Boys School, The Hill, Monaghan Town.

All Children wishing to enrol must have a full psychological assessment including a diagnosis of dyslexia which must be made available to the Workshop Co-ordinator to establish whether the Workshop is suitable for a child or not.

All teachers at the Workshop are dedicated fully qualified teachers who have had special training in helping students with dyslexia. Our aim is to provide specialised classes for children with dyslexia and to also provide support and information for their parents and families.
